PE

All children experience the basic and core skills through a multi-skills curriculum to develop an understanding of fitness and health, using a mix of athletic activities, dance, games, gymnastics and outdoor education.

The general teaching requirement for health and safety applies in this subject, and guidance is held by the working party leader. Refer to: Safe Practise: in Physical Education, School Sport and Physical Activity. (This is a National Document)

Earrings cannot be worn when participating in Physical Activity and Education. They must be removed, by the child, or before coming into school on P.E. days. Tape is not an alternative.

PE is a National Curriculum subject and all children will still participate in aspects of PE where it is safe and will be involved in the PE session – as audience, referee, making notes, mapping the learning etc

We use the REAL PE scheme to support teaching and learning and ensure progress in skills through the school.
